During the cold winter months, our thirsty skin often craves extra nourishment and moisturization. With so many products that promise hydrated and glowing skin, it can feel overwhelming. Oftentimes, it’s difficult to know which type of products will offer both relief and results. At PURA, we regularly hear these types of questions: Do I use a cream or an oil or both? Can I mix the two or do I layer these products? What do you suggest for my skin type?. Keep reading to learn more about the benefits of moisturizers vs. oils and why we suggest a combination of both to keep your skin healthy and hydrated especially during the driest seasons of the year.

At PURA, we were first drawn to Mamas for Mamas through our involvement in last summer’s Jilly Box. As mother’s ourselves, we were immediately inspired by their mission - to create a community without barriers to raising happy, healthy children. Founded in Kelowna, it is only recently that an Edmonton chapter was formed. Once we met Marcie from Mamas For Mamas Edmonton, we knew that we had to introduce her to YOU - our PURA community. May you be inspired and moved by Marcie’s enthusiasm, dedication, and how she was able to channel a time of personal grief into a legacy of beauty and significance with Mamas for Mamas.

At PURA, we believe that the art of the beauty ritual is an intimate and mindful experience to be not only nurtured, but celebrated. Often, when our self-care potions are both beautifully displayed and readily accessible, the more likely we are to use them -- in Holly’s words, “sometimes pretty spaces inspire us to treat ourselves better”. Keep reading for simple and easy ways to create these ‘beauty spaces’ in your home and life as Holly shares how interior design can both compliment and inspire your self-care rituals.

In this post, we are rounding up PURA’s top three superstar multi-taskers - Overnight Watermelon Mask, Radiant Face Drops, and Azure Dream Cloud - so keep reading to learn more about how you can use these favourite potions to keep you glowing...at home or on the road.

She started selling handmade face masks out of her home and eventually created a company called Brick House Goods. She recently designed an exclusive face mask in collaboration with PURA Botanicals.
