Through Lane’s Eyes - The Inspiration Behind The Potion

The Empress Eye Cream was inspired by my own very sensitive eyes and the need for a rapid-repair eye cream that wouldn’t irritate, but instead deeply replenish and protect my delicate eye area with a radical, super-natural formula.

This eye cream boosts skin cell health with antioxidants and microbiome support. It also locks in moisture and prevents transepidermal water loss, leaving the delicate area hydrated and smooth, reducing the appearance of puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet, while promoting a brighter, more alert look with bilberry, wild mushroom extracts and ocean minerals. Raspberry seed oil absorbs damaging UVA and UVB rays, and helps prevent them from reaching your skin and causing inflammation and sun damage.

I’m also absolutely obsessed with its luscious berry aroma and its dewy, ultra-soft texture that just melts into my eye area and primes it perfectly for makeup or protects it for nighttime.

This potion’s dreamy purple hue comes from bilberry extract which is potent in vitamin C. The colour purple has a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting your mood, helping to calm the mind and nerves, increasing nurturing tendencies, and encouraging imagination and creativity. The Empress is infused with a Deep Wrinkle Complex (otherwise known as ‘The Youth Brew’) which includes many fascinating and efficacious natural ingredients:

Guaraná - A lush, creeping shrub native to the Brazilian Amazon. Guaraná's therapeutic activity and use as a stimulant comes from xanthine alkaloids (caffeine, theophylline, theobromine) and is known for its toning and astringent properties. The use of this in the Deep Wrinkle Complex is intended to reduce puffiness around the eyes.

Wild Mushroom - Think about this potion as ‘your eyes on ‘shrooms’. Mushrooms are a natural astringent shown to improve skin tightness and firmness as it diminishes the appearance of pores. Mushrooms also aid in brightening dark circles.

Japanese Green Tea - This well known ingredient aids in fighting damage from excessive sun and environmental damage. This ancient, Asian plant has the ability to prevent free radicals from further damaging cell structure.
